About: Sabine Bohlig-Benaleten

I am Sabine Bohlig-Benaleten, a qualified Social Pedagogue (Diploma) and certified Systemic and Humanistic Counsellor & Coach. For more than 25 years I have been working with individuals, couples and families in Germany and in England, where I also lived and worked for many years.
My approach is systemic, humanistic and resource-oriented. This means that I see every person as the expert of their own life. I believe that difficulties are not signs of weakness, but often attempts to cope with challenges – and opportunities to find new ways forward. In counselling and coaching, I combine systemic perspectives with methods from person-centred therapy (Carl Rogers), Gestalt therapy, Transactional Analysis and brief solution-focused work.
I am passionate about supporting people in times of transition and challenge:
-
when relationships feel difficult or overwhelming
-
when families need support with parenting or communication
-
when stress, loss or life changes feel too heavy to manage alone
-
when orientation and clarity are missing in personal or professional life
I work in both English and German, and my clients often describe me as respectful, warm, and encouraging. I value diversity and have long experience working with people from many different cultural and social backgrounds.
